BubuBird Diaries: What a City!

Day 61:

Bern, the capital of Switzerland and it is a very beautiful mix of an old town and a fast pulsating city...must say it was a delightful trip...have to go back...

Early morning...get set go...but before that Ashvat savouring zips on all the jackets he could reach...

Bern....Ashvat enjoying the songs and music played by the street musicians...

There are 11 of these decorative fountains all around the old city of Bern...The old town of Bern is beautiful and has been declared as the world heritage site by the UNESCO....Tarun said it reminded him of Turin...

Farmer's market at the Barenplatz... It had fruits, vegetables (and good looking ones at that), cheeses, flowers etc etc...

There were restaurants lined on both sides of Barenplatz and the farmer's market is put up at the square or rather rectangle (it was huge) in the middle...

The dancing fountains...look at the glee on the faces of the children...it was so much fun...

ooooohhhhhh.....The fountain jets just went zoom...very very high...all together. :-)

Papa and Ashvat enjoy running right in the middle of the fountain...it was too much fun...

and then we carry on...

This city is full of beautiful streets filled with even more beautiful design stores and some big names at that..

On our way to eat something...

This is a Bern speciality...Flam Bernoise... we ate the traditional with cream cheese, fried onions and bacon...going to try it very soon...keep a look out for the recipe at Bubbling Pots...
